How many eSIMNum plans can I install?

How many eSIMNum plans can I install?

eSIM-compatible devices allow you to install multiple eSIMs, but the number of active eSIMs depends on your device model and whether it supports DSDA (Dual SIM Dual Active) or DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby).

What are DSDA and DSDS?

  • DSDA (Dual SIM Dual Active): Both SIMs (nano-SIM or eSIM) can be active at the same time for calls, texts, and data.
  • DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby): Only one SIM can be active at a time for calls, texts, or data, but multiple SIMs can be stored and switched.

iPhone

  • iPhone 13 and newer (DSDA): Can use two active eSIMs simultaneously, or one nano-SIM + one eSIM.
  • iPhone 12, 11, XS, XS Max, XR (DSDS): Only one eSIM can be active at a time.
  • iPhones can store 5–10 eSIMs, but only some can be active depending on your model.

Android

  • Most Samsung, Huawei, and other Android devices: Can store 5–7 eSIMs, usually only one active at a time.
  • Google Pixel 7 and newer: Can use two active eSIMs simultaneously if supported by the carrier.

Summary

  • You can store multiple eSIMs on your device.
  • The number of eSIMs that can be active simultaneously depends on your device and whether it is DSDA or DSDS.
  • Always check your device model for specific active eSIM limits.
