How do I rename an eSIM on my device?
Most smartphones allow you to store multiple eSIM profiles and rename them for easier identification. Your device will assign a default label during installation, but you can change it anytime in your settings.
We recommend choosing a name that helps you recognize the plan quickly (e.g., eSIMNum, Japan Travel eSIM, etc.).
Below are the steps for each device type:
iOS Devices (iPhone)
- Open Settings
- Tap Cellular / Mobile Data
- Under SIMs, tap the eSIM you want to rename
- Tap Cellular Plan Label
- Select a suggested label or enter your own under Custom Label
- Tap Done
Samsung Galaxy Devices
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap SIM card manager
- Select the eSIM profile you want to edit
- Tap Name (or the pencil icon)
- Enter the new label
- Tap Done
Google Pixel Devices
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet
- Tap SIMs
- Select the eSIM you want to edit
- Tap the pencil icon
- Rename your eSIM (you can also change the label color)
- Tap Save
Your eSIM will now show the updated label. You can rename it anytime if your needs change.
