Can I use eSIM on a carrier-locked device?
Your phone may be carrier-locked, especially when purchased through a mobile carrier with a contract or device financing. A locked device can only use that carrier’s network and cannot install or activate eSIMs from eSIMNum or other providers.
To use eSIMNum, your device needs to be fully carrier-unlocked. Some carriers require completing the contract term or paying off the device balance before unlocking.
For devices that were unlocked recently, certain carriers temporarily disable eSIM features for security purposes. In this situation, contacting the carrier is necessary to restore eSIM support.
If you are unsure about your device status or need help, feel free to reach out to eSIMNum Support—we’re always here to assist.
