What should I do if my eSIM QR code won’t scan?

If your eSIM QR code won’t scan, you can install your eSIM manually. Every eSIMNum plan includes manual installation details that let you activate your eSIM without using the camera.

You can find these details under My eSIM on the eSIMNum website. Here’s how to enter them manually:

On iOS

  1. Open Settings Open Settings

  2. Tap Cellular / Mobile Data Tap Cellular

  3. Tap Add eSIM Add eSIM

  4. Select Enter Details Manually Choose Enter Details Manually

  5. Enter the following information:

    • SM-DP+ Address
    • Activation Code
    • Confirmation Code (if provided) Enter Details Manually
  6. Turn on your eSIM under Cellular Plans

  7. Set it as your Cellular/Mobile Data line

  8. Enable Data Roaming Enable Data Roaming

  9. If required, enter the APN details found in your installation information

On Android

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Network & Internet Tap Network & Internet

  3. Tap + Add SIM Tap Add SIM

  4. When prompted, tap Try these troubleshooting steps Tap Try Troubleshooting Steps

  5. Tap Enter Code Manually Choose Enter Details Manually

  6. Enter your SM-DP+ Address and other required details

  7. Turn on your eSIM

  8. Enable Mobile Data Enable Mobile Data

  9. Enable Data Roaming Enable Data Roaming

  10. If required, enter the APN settings provided in your installation details
